A visit to the largest church@Vietnam
July 31, 2016 • By Berson Richard • in Adventist Community Services, Communication, News and Updates, Sabbath school department updates
It’s a new experience for us to witness a beautiful church in Ri’chai, Lamdong province, Vietnam. It takes around two hours drive from Ho Chi Minh. It’s not about the church building but the people. This church starts its Sabbath school program at 7:00am every Sabbath and the 800 over members were there early in the morning overwhelming and enjoyed the blessings of our SS programs faithfully.
This church enjoyed the Sabbath School program very much. Time is not matter for them. They used to spend 90-120 minutes for SS program before the divine service. We praised God for their hungry and thirsty attitude to the words of God.
Pastor Berson Richard, SAUM SS/PM & Communication Director has the privilege of sharing the greetings of SAUM Administrators and words of encouragement to the congregations, this time he was not scheduled to preach because according to the law of the country, it’s necessarily to send the scripts of the sermon at least 3 months in advance and require the approval from the authority.
During this church visit, we also have the opportunity to distribute 560 books for the members. These books are resources that they will use in their care group meetings.
This trip is part of our itineraries on July 7-11, 2016 and SS/PM program for house churches and churches in Nha Trang, Dalat, and Ho Chi Minh areas. This trip was arranged by Ah Tuyet, VAM SS/PM Director.
